Devgiri Exports is looking for a Traffic Coordinator for our new 700,000 sq ft.
warehouse based in Jonesboro, GA.
Responsible for The Traffic Coordinator organizes and monitors all shipments to and from customers.
This position ensures products reach the destination in a timely and efficient manner.
The Traffic Coordinator is also responsible for evaluating freight quotes with various freight carriers and scheduling shipments based on the chosen carrier.
This position is responsible for timely and accurate completion of shipment paperwork including Bill of Lading, Packing Slip, and system transactions.
Job duties &
Responsibilities:
Organize and oversee the day-to-day traffic of carriers and shipments going in and out of warehouse.
Address inquiries and issues from the warehouse personnel and carriers.
Use various forms of communication such as phone and email.
Maintain tracking and/ or the tracing of all trailers and containers.
Dispatch outgoing trailers and containers.
Maintain a safe and orderly storage arrangement for all items handled.
Deliver excellent customer service to all internal and external customers.
Troubleshoots logistics issues inclusive but not limited to load issues.
Solve problems by providing possible solutions.
Check in drivers and direct them to appropriate doors for pickup and delivery.
Schedule appointments with clients.
Create and distribute paperwork associated with shipments.
Be a key partner between customer service, warehouse, management and clients.
Understand and practice safety policies and procedures.
And perform other duties as assigned.
Education &
Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent (preferred) Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics, transportation, warehouse dispatching or related field (preferred) We offer competitive pay rates and opportunities for growth within the company.
