11 an hour 3 days ago 3 days ago 3 days ago PURPOSE OF CLASSIFICATION The purpose of this classification is to provide security throughout Clayton County International Park.
Work involves patrolling the park, monitoring patrons; and ensuring security of park facilities, equipment, grounds and patrons.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS The following duties are normal for this position.
The omission of specific statements of the duties does not exclude them from the classification if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment for this classification.
Other duties may be required and assigned.
Continuously patrols Clayton County International Park driving a police patrol car; monitors park activities and patron; identifies and investigates suspicious behaviors; ensures compliance with park rules and regulations; and provides official presence to deter vandalism, unsafe behaviors or other activities which jeopardize the security of the park.
Works to resolve conflicts with patrons and to stop potentially dangerous and/or destructive behaviors.
Contacts the police when additional assistance is needed or a crime has been committed.
Provides assistance, directions and information to patrons; promotes park activities and services; and responds to complaints.
Supervises assigned security personnel; establishes work schedules and assignments; and provides direction as needed.
Reports broken park equipment and needed repairs/maintenance.
Opens and Locks gates and secures park facilities upon closing.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS Performs other related duties as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or GED supplemented by one year of experience performing security work; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the requisite knowledge skills and abilities for this job.
Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia driver's license.

Tasks require the ability to exert very moderate physical effort in light work, typically involving some combination of stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling, and which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of moderate weight (12-20 pounds).
Sensory Requirements:
Some tasks require the ability to perceive and discriminate sounds, odor, and visual cues or signals.
Some tasks require the ability to communicate orally.
Environmental Factors:
Performance of essential functions may require exposure to adverse environmental conditions, such as dirt, dust, pollen, odors, wetness, humidity, rain, or violence.
